Cannabis and The Witch Hunt..

Cannabis and The Witch Hunt

  • Witch Hunt: the act of unfairly looking for and punishing people who are accused of having opinions that are believed to be dangerous or evil.

Ahhh Witch Hunts… as American as apple pie..right?

Witch Hunts go way way back.. just like human cannabis use does…

Wait a minute Chief! are you trying to say witches used cannabis?

Oh yes friends.. The Witch Hunt and cannabis use go back to the beginning of recorded time..

One of the original witch hunts was against the jews of the ancient world and biblical times..

The Jewish community was accused of the “blood libel”, among many many other things to be sure..

Using the blood of christian children for their demonic potions and magic.
Using the blood of christian children for their demonic potions and magic.

Blood libel (also blood accusation)[1][2] is an accusation[3][4][5] that Jews kidnapped and murdered the children of Christians in order to use their blood as part of their religious ritualsduring Jewish holidays.[1][2][6] Historically, these claims – alongside those of well poisoning and host desecration – have been a major theme of the persecution of Jews in Europe.[4]

The majority community spread lies and propaganda about the jewish community.. saying they slaughtered christian children for sacrifices and potions..

This of course resulted in hostility towards jewish people everywhere they went..

Bias.. both explicit and implicit.. was what they experienced daily..

Jews could quickly find themselves being executed for the accusation of blood libel or heresy or witch craft..

After the Christian church had been established.. The victims of previous claims of blood libel now would come to use it against women… accused of heresy, blood libel or witchcraft..

The myth of Adam and Eve shows clearly how women were to be seen as likely to consort with devils and demons at any turn.

This was sexist propaganda that proved very effective.. just like the racist Reefer Madness Campaign started in the 1930s..  bs66

Women only recently received right to vote in USA by 19th Constitutional Amendment  (1920). Cannabis and those that use it are still the subject of witch hunts..

Thousands of women were burned and hung as witches in Europe and the Americas..

How many more were raped or tortured before being killed?

How many were not killed but violently scarred?

How many more were terrorized by the public spectacle and attitude?

Racist

a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

  1. adjective
having or showing the belief that a particular race is superior to another.
US Cannabis/Drug policy was racist from the start..
    ansassharry-j-anslinger-racist-marijuana-600x5471

Harry Anslinger who was the first Commissioner for Federal Bureau of Narcotics was not ashamed of his racism then and is quoted saying all kinds of racist garbage like “Marijuana makes darkies want to sleep with white women” in a time when black men were regularly humiliated, attacked, assaulted, tortured, executed, and hung by upstanding members of society all over the country.. his organization which he ran for 30 years would later become the DEA under another Racist political leader of Americas past President Richard “Tricky” Dick Nixon.

  2. lou and nixnixon
  3. These two scumbags, Nixon and Anslinger are responsible for our current federal cannabis policy, they are also both dead so…
  4. Anslinger and Nixon have now thoroughly been discredited as racist liars that used their positions to make immoral racist and illegal laws against their social and political enemies.. not recognizing their rights as citizens.. Anslingers 1937 Marijuana Tax Act was later found unconstitutional but the damage had been done over the 30 years it took to be challenged.. Nixon picked up the torch readily as one of Americas most criminal political campaigners… losing the highest seat in the land to his own dishonesty and willingness to break the law in order to get over on his political enemies..
  5. Nixon started a tradition and framework to continue to criminalize non-violent drug crime and minority populations. He also showed future republicans how to win the white house through racist propaganda and campaigning.. “The Southern Strategy” is Tricky Dick’s contribution to American Politics.
  6. Thanks DICK!!! and the Republican Party..
  7. politics and money… drug prohibition has never been about the health of the public. Its about over-policing the minorities and everyone here in America has known this for a long time now. NOT a mystery.. How long has The New Jim Crow been on the New York Times Bestseller list? 118weeks+!! July 22/2016aa1c484a3526bd3672b162f12484aae8Copy of alexander-jim-crow-575x383
  8. Michelle Alexander is a respected professor who was confronted with these theories and denied them at first for some time and then finally came around to giving it a serious look and was drawn in to the nightmare that is US justice or the lack thereof.
  9. Our police forces all across America continue to play out the sick racist fantasies of a twisted depression era America looking to place blame on the vulnerable for the problems of the larger society..and a disgraced political monster with no regard for millions of Americans… where minorities (black folks) hanging from trees with bloated eyes and stiff hands were a more normal and accepted part of American life..and where civil rights heroes were unconstitutionally followed, abused, spied on, conspired against and harassed… all billed to American taxpayers of course by the same criminals that brought us the drug war.

Ronald Reagan added money to his war on drugs.. putting the words mass incarceration on the lips of all Americans by 2016..Copy of quote-marijuana-is-probably-the-most-dangerous-drug-in-america-today-ronald-reagan-85-92-80trumpreag1Copy of reagansmoking

Americans have not yet had the courage to face this ugly part of our culture, and more importantly our justice system that provides so very little justice to the millions of people of color in this country due to racist policies exemplified by the drug war. The situation is, of course, and has been unsustainable… do what you will with this information, but please don’t be confused about the nature of the drug war.

Must See Cannabis Documentaries and Videos

We have been lied to about cannabis for so many years that there exists a lot of bad info out there about cannabis.

Government propaganda pumped lies into our collective heads for so long that anytime someone says “this is your brain” someone inevitably comlpletes the misled 1980s era propaganda phrase with “on drugs!”

Cannabis does not fry your brain like an egg, or any other breakfast food for that matter, but it was a powerful and well funded message..

The following are Chief’s selection of must see cannabis docs and vids..

The Magic Weed: History of the Marijuana Plant

The Culture High

The Union: The Business of Getting High.. was the Producers and makers of The Culture High’s previous effort. Both fantasticly informative productions with the aim of informing people about the dynamics of the drug war. Both films are highly recommended.

Must See Cannabis Documentaries and Videos

These films are a wonderful start to our modern relationship with cannabis.

One of the most groundbreaking pieces of video I have ever witnessed is actually Chris Bennet’s old videos from the 90s where he goes into detail about Cannabis’ Biblical history and then cannabis throughout the ancient world. The Burning Shiva Hour!

Hemp For Victory US Govt.. War Department film 1942… Acttivist Jack Herrer petitioned govt to release film after many denials that it even existed!

The American Drug War is Immoral

The American Drug War is Immoral

The above statement is not intended to be controversial. The immorality of the Drug War has been well documented. The failure of the drug war has been well documented. The racism of the drug war has been well documented…

How Ronald Reagan’s Drug War Fueled Americans’ Addiction to Racist Ideas

Advocates of police body cams should be forewarned..

Documentation is absolutely no guarantee of justice in America..

For decades laws that were originally set up to continue the persecution of black people in a racist society still exist.. (Cannabis was outlawed essentially twice 1937 later found unconstitutional, and 1970, Racism was a more upfront reality then. Policy clearly reflects racism both times.) Racist Harry J. Anslinger1st Narcotics CommissionerThere has never been an honest accounting of these historic wrongs which has allowed politicians to continue these racist and immoral policies today. They fill jails on the basis of lies about cannabis and other drugs..

Cannabis is not dangerous. nixonBut they lie and say it is. Cannabis is medicine, but they lie and say its not. Cannabis does not make one want to use other drugs, is not a “gateway drug”, research shows cannabis to be an “exit drug” helping people to get off of opiates, but they will continue to lie and tell you it is so..

Gov. Charlie Baker of Massachusetts

Cannabis is safer than coffee as far as researchers can tell but once again government policies lie and say that cannabis is as dangerous as heroin and list it as more dangerous than cocaine..

Allowing them to take peoples freedoms away if caught with the “dangerous, gateway drug cannabis which offers no medical benefit whatsoever!”

Copy of quote-marijuana-is-probably-the-most-dangerous-drug-in-america-today-ronald-reagan-85-92-80

Police and law enforcement supporters conveniently dismiss the experiences of minority communities and its members as the complaints of children. Worthy of an ear but not worth doing anything about. Now that modern video has proven what thousands have complained about for decades…

Police and the DEA are allowed to lie to American citizens to do their jobs, get convictions, and protect their jobs… this means they are allowed and encouraged to lie to us as they prey on us… filling their quotas and private run jails… while people suffer in inhumane prisoner conditions.

Copy of alexander-jim-crow-575x383Without the total admission of the racist and immoral injustice that continues to be waged against minorities in America, and an implemented plan of action is underway… the conversation that so many want to happen will never amount to much.aa1c484a3526bd3672b162f12484aae8

Minorities will continue to be gunned down in the street, on video.. and Police unfortunately as well, will be targets for enraged community members pushed beyond their faculties. The tit for tat police versus terrorist black gunman of the day dynamic will continue and intensify.. History is clear. All African Americans will easily be seen as terrorists after decades of being seen as violent criminals, and whatever else the society decides on. Given the current situation the most effective strategy goes to the roots of the issue. The racist and immoral drug war leads to mass incarceration, leads to distrust of police and the justice system, leads to failed society where normal and rational citizens are forced to avoid and are not served by the police but are hunted as criminals.. or, coming to a neighborhood near you any day now!!! hunted as terrorists for their political views or more easily … just being black or brown.

African-Americans and minorities have suffered hundreds of years now of being targeted by law enforcement and the wider society. The modern term for this new dynamic is a rehash of older term.. The New Jim Crow..

Police have been waging a proxy war for the powerful white society against Americas minorities and it is no longer sustainable.

Modern day slavery…

An American Caste system with no end in sight…

That is not a dynamic I would choose but its what exists and has been supported and maintained until now..

End the Drug War and we may have a way out of this as a nation.

Repairing Our Relationship with Cannabis

Repairing Our Relationship with Cannabis

Cannabis has been misunderstood in America

Screen Shot 2012-03-30 at 2.16.09 PMfor many decades…

Our difficult relationship with cannabis goes back thousands of years..

Many people will be shocked to find out that not only can cannabis be traced back to one of civilizations first cultivated crops, being continually cultivated in China since the neolithic age, but it may be responsible for mankind leaving the stone age (Neo-lithic Revolution), was integral to the founding of the worlds first oldest and largest religions, offers mankind more useful products from one plant than any other plant known, is currently being researched as a cancer treatment, and may be the original key to human consciousness having lead an evolved human mind into a more calm reflexive abstract thinking mind..

That’s right .. the theory is not new. Its called Bicameralism.  And explains that the human mind until several thousand years ago could most closely be described today as schizophrenic. Thoughts would often be heard as what can closely be explained as command hallucinations (auditory hallucinations). We think therefore we are. But before this the mind was more animal like, in the moment, constantly moving from one task to the next, think of a dog or even ants which are capable of impressive social or technical feats.

One could see how this may have developed… before people being aware of the idea(s) that we have a thinking brain which has internal thoughts, which may be manifested different ways. Thinking to oneself before one thought of it as thinking to oneself would be like listening to a very intense and knowledgeable person whispering in your head. Cannabis’ therapeutic effect on the mentally ill is very notable here. Because it can be used for just that said effect in a busy ADHD person’s mind for example… bringing reflection, focus and creativity to a world that is consumed with physical stress.

tree of life

It is also not hard to see how certain hunter gatherer societies would benefit from this ability to expand perception, not to mention the hundreds of medicinal, nutritional, and industrial uses cannabis provides.. allowing them to be better prepared for survival and therefore be the evolutionary winners over those less equipped.

Would cannabis have helped or hurt a neolithic age hunter gatherer society?

Do we have different uses for cannabis today?

Because of Greed, Politics, and frankly Racism cannabis is still federally illegal in the USA.

How did this situation come about?

Why does our government lie so blatantly with regards to cannabis?

Stay tuned folks…
